About Peer Support Program
SERA’s Peer Support Program is accredited by ACC Institute of Human Services in conjunction with Singapore Counselling Centre.
The objectives of the Peer Support Program are to equip youth and adult with knowledge on common mental health issues faced in Singapore and how they can support their peers or colleagues who may be struggling such issues.
There are two specialized program offered by SERA, Peer Support Program for the Youth and Peer Support Program for Adult.ย The program taught by SERA are fully customizable according to the school or organization’s requirement.

Course Summary and Differences
Psychological First Aid (PFA) Course focuses on equiping individuals with the skills and knowledge to provide the imediate help when an individual faces a crisis. In Psychological First Aid, the action principles are Look, Listen and Link.
First Aid in Mental Healthย focuses on equiping individuals with knowledge on the common Mental Health issues and the presenting symptoms. In addition, the course aims to provide individuals with the practical skills to assist someone who maybe going through a panic attack or mental issue.
Peer Support Programย focuses on equiping individuals with the knowledge and skills to support their peers during a crisis or who are suffering from a mental issue.
At the moment the course is not eligible for any government funding. However, SERA is working with various stakeholders and government agencies for government funding for this course. SERA is also providing the course at afforable rates for schools and companies. Kindly provide us with your details so that we can reach out to you.

SERA is providing this program for schools and organisation only. You may wish to propose this program to your school coordinator or HR in your company.
The minimum class size for the Peer Support Program is 8 participants and the maximum is 24 participants.
